Article 18 proposes a financial transfer of approximately $400,000 to bolster the construction budget for the town's new wastewater collection system. The funds would be moved from a surplus remaining in the project’s original design appropriation.

Town Administrator Robert L. Whritenour explained that the move is an efficient way to reallocate funds already approved for the sewer project to where they are currently needed most. We have oh maybe 400,000 or so left over that we want to move from the old initial appropriation for design into the construction, he noted.

The collection system is a key component of the Phase 2 expansion of the municipal sewer project. This transfer allows the town to continue its infrastructure rollout using existing authorized funds, minimizing the need for new borrowing for this specific phase of work.
